Bloober Team Mystery Project Moves into Pre-Production
Bloober Team has announced its next project has officially moved into the pre-production phase, as the company continues to work on several games. After the massive success of the Silent Hill 2 Remake, Bloober Team has a confirmed three new games in development, including two unannounced and new IP Cronos: The New Dawn.
Bloober Team, the developer of Layers of Fear 2, The Medium, and the recent Silent Hill 2, has officially entered pre-production on a new mystery game. With several games now being developed, fans are excited for the the team’s next project.
Excitingly, Bloober Team signed a licensing and publishing agreement with Skybound Entertainment last December to develop Project R. Earlier this year, Bloober Team also announced a partnership with Nintendo to work on the “ambitious” Project M. This is not forgetting about Bloober’s own Cronos: The New Dawn, a completely new survival horror IP coming in 2025.

What We Know So Far
Speculation on what game is now in pre-production focuses on the unannounced Project M and Project R. Working with Skybound, the company founded by Robert Kirkman, co-creator of The Walking Dead and Invincible, Project R is expected to “premiere” in 2025. Konami, Bloober Team, and Skybound remain silent on what the game could be.
Another unannounced game Bloober is working on is Project M, which was initially developed alongside Draw Distance before Bloober Team terminated the contract and announced a partnership with Nintendo. Again, we have no information on what Bloober is creating with “the world’s best game creators,” but it is “significantly smaller” and likely for the upcoming Switch 2.
A New IP
It’s going to be an exciting year for fans of Bloober and survival horror. The developer’s next title, Cronos: The New Dawn releases in 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The third-person horror set in a near-future dystopia is an original Bloober IP, and it could launch in Q3 2025.
Building on the success of Silent Hill 2, Bloober Team has a busy few years ahead. As one of the most innovative horror game developers, Bloober Team has left fans eager to see what’s next.
