Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land is the new chapter in the renowned Atelier series by Gust. Published by Koei Tecmo, it marks the 26th main chapter featuring Yumia Liessfeldt as the protagonist. In a continent where alchemy has become taboo due to a cataclysm.
With Yumia on a quest to uncover her origins and the mystery behind the fall of the Aladiss Empire and alchemy. A new direction for the series, embracing a more action-packed and mature game compared to the past. The game will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on March 20, 2025.
Atelier Yumia: The Opening Movie and Pre-Order Start
During the special Atelier Yumia broadcast held on February 21, 2025, we got a lot of new updates. Not only new details about the story, characters, and gameplay, but also the official start of pre-orders. With 3 game editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate Edition. Accompanied by the Early Purchase Bonus, which includes:
- The “Athlete of Memories” Costume for Yumia
- The “Floating Object of Memories” Costume for Flammi
- Recipe for Equipment “Training Wrist Weight” (+3% exp when defeating monsters)
Available until April 3, 2025. Pre-orders are live along with the reveal of the Atelier Yumia Opening Movie. The trailer is created using the game engine and features the song “Labyrinth Synapse” by J-rock group flumpool. The trailer introduces the characters who will accompany Yumia, the enemies, and a more action-oriented emphasis of the title.
Atelier Yumia: New Updates on Story and Game World
The official livestream brings new updates on the world of Atelier Yumia, with presentations and new details about 3 of the game regions:
- Ligneus: A region with a dense forest where the group will establish their first base. Far from the empire’s capital, with various abandoned laboratories and structures.
- Sivah: A sunken region where mushrooms have proliferated. Mainly inhabited by Welleks.
- Auruma: The industrial area during the Aladiss Empire, now with the ruins of a large city. Though major structures like the Commercial District and Mana Transposing Furnace remain standing.
It offers the chance to explore Aladiss freely, with the ability to create bases, travel quickly using zip-lines, and even ride a motorbike when needed. As for gameplay, there will be a simplified potion synthesis system and a more action-packed real-time combat system, but still with tactical elements.
