With the famous Path of Exile 2 stream on January 7 showing a supposedly hardcore account in the new PoE chapter. However, the stream’s gameplay didn’t match his alleged skills at all. Many fans of the game, along with various outlets and influencers, exposed him as a poser. The account seemed to rely on a booster, meaning he paid someone to level up the account.
Elon Musk: The Path of Exile 2 Story Continues
Elon has certainly been in the spotlight after his recent flop on Path of Exile 2. Exposing the CEO and “visionary” for using a boosted PoE account that didn’t reflect his real abilities. Many users and influencers discussed the situation, including the famous streamer Asmongold (Zack).
On January 13, Asmon reacted to an analysis video by streamer Quin69TV. He was extremely disappointed by Elon Musk’s actions. But the disappointment grew when, on January 16, the billionaire published publicly some private DMs with Zack. Calling him “he is not his own man” over confusion about Zack’s editors’ role.

Asmongold vs. Elon Musk: How the Situation Unfolded
Asmongold found himself with private DMs exposed and his Verified status removed on Twitter (X). Eventually, Musk even unfollowed him. It seems Elon Musk not only reacted childishly but also confused the role of Asmongold’s editors as journalistic editors controlling his actions.
The situation partially resolved with the restoration of Asmongold’s Verified status and the deletion of Elon’s comment. But by then, the damage was done. Many outside the gaming world are now taking the situation seriously, viewing it as a sign of weakness under pressure and insecurity from Elon.
