With Absolum representing a new IP that promises novelties in the world of arcade games. A game created in collaboration with Guard Crush and Supamonks. And the team promises it will be available in 2025.
Absolum: The New Roguelike Arcade Beat Em Up
With an unexpected announcement on March 4th, 2025, the Dotemu team reveals the arrival of a new arcade-style game for 2025. Announcing Absolum, a game co-developed internally with the collaboration of Guard Crush and Supamonks. A new IP created together with Guard Crush, the team behind the acclaimed Street of Rage 4.
Offering us a Roguelike-style Beat Em Up set in the world of Talamh. Where Sun King Azra, the tyrant, has enslaved the mages and continues to expand his forces. And in the shoes of a group of rebels, ready to stop the tyrant using magic. Absolum will arrive in 2025 on PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Absolum: Features and Gameplay
An ambitious project that seeks to bring an element of unpredictability to the classic arcade experience by adding a roguelike core. Where the defeat of each run leads to changes, but also rewards you with Radiance to purchase abilities and power-ups. Offering 4 different characters:
- Galandra: A powerful warrior armed with a greatsword and necromancy.
- Karl: The last free dwarf of Talamh, armed with a Talamh rifle and formidable with his fists.
- Brome: A prodigy mage who aims to preserve the new generation of mages.
- Cider: A mysterious fighter searching for answers from the scattered fragments of his soul.
All with a graphic style crafted by the Supamonks team, conveyed through the various stories, locations, and secrets we encounter. Not to mention an incredible soundtrack created in collaboration with:
- Gareth Coker: Behind the Ori series, Halo Infinite, and Prince of Persia.
- Yuka Kitamura: Behind the Dark Souls and Elden Ring series.
