Xbox Game Pass January 2024 Joining Titles

 

UPDATE JANUARY 17 – The wave 2 of games joining Game Pass January 2024 is finally revealed! Major title, F1 23, will be joining the free games lineup on January 18, 2024 for PC Game Pass and Ultimate made possible by EA Play. Then towards the end of the month, Brotato is entering the Game Pass library on the 30th.

Persona 3 Reload and Anuchard are also included in the Coming Soon section but these two are slated for early February 2024 release.

  Xbox Game Pass January 2024 Wave 2    

UPDATE JANUARY 10 – Palworld is confirmed to join Game Pass PC and Console on day one, out of its Early Access release. While Phantom Abyss is coming out of its Early Access status and will fully release for PC, Xbox platforms, Game Pass, and Cloud Gaming.

   

And so now we have news!

The first batch of free games for Game Pass January 2024 have finally been revealed. Initially, only Turnip Boy Robs A Bank and Go Mecha Ball were confirmed for the lineup.

But now that holidays are over, eight more games were revealed and they are nothing short of awesome! These eight will drop during the first half of the month.

Close To The Sun (PC, Console, Cloud)

   

Close to the Sun is a 2019 first-person horror adventure game set in 1897 on a massive ocean liner called the Helios, which was designed by Nikola Tesla as a utopia for scientists and inventors.

You will play as Rose Archer, a journalist who is searching for her sister Ada, who is one of the scientists on board. However, Rose soon discovers that the Helios is not what it seems, and that the scientists have been working on dangerous experiments that have gone wrong.

The game is a mix of exploration, puzzle-solving, and survival horror and you can now play it for free with an active Game Pass subscription. It was added in the free games line up on January 3, 2024.

 

Hell Let Loose (PC, Xbox Series X, Cloud)

   

Hell Let Loose is an immersive multiplayer game that throws you right into the heart of iconic World War II battles. The game features authentic weaponry, uniforms, and environments that capture the brutality and chaos of war.

Phantom Abyss is a challenging and thrilling asynchronous multiplayer platformer where you race to navigate a procedurally generated temple, avoid traps and guardians, and claim the relic at the end. Only one player can successfully complete each temple, making it a tense and competitive test of skill and knowledge.

The game will release Version 1.0 and finally come out of Early Access bringing a wave of exciting changes and new content to the thrilling temple-raiding adventure game. You can expect bug fixes and refinements, relic room revamp, sing-path temples, and new and upgraded modes.

Phantom Abyss Version 1.0 is set to launch on January 25, 2024 and will join Game Pass on day-one. It will be available on Game Pass for PC, Console, and Xbox Cloud Gaming.

 

Brotato(PC, Console, Cloud)

   

Brotato is a top-down arena shooter roguelite video game where you control potato named Brotato who must survive on an alien planet by fighting off hordes of aliens. Brotato can wield up to six weapons at a time, and you can choose from a variety of traits and items to create unique builds.

Each run is procedurally generated, so each playthrough is different. The game is challenging and addictive that is sure to appeal to fans of top-down shooters, roguelites, and unique concepts.
