Worshippers of Cthulhu is a strategy game where players build and manage a cult dedicated to awakening Cthulhu. The game combines city-building, resource management, and ritualistic practices in a Lovecraftian setting. Players must gather resources, construct buildings, and perform rituals to progress towards their ultimate goal.

The game is scheduled to release its Early Access version on October 21, 2024 for PC via Steam. Although it’s only just a few days left, you can already jump in the game. And the best part? It’s for free!

Worshippers of Cthulhu’s latest demo is out and featured for this month’s Steam Next Fest. It’s not indicated if it will just run during the course of the event. But considering that this version is the updated one from the demo released in August, chances are it will.



If you played the previous demo, you’ll be glad to know that this updated version includes the full first chapter of the game and will feature new twists. You can also expect new gameplay mechanics, adjusted difficulty level, and of course, bug fixes. On top of all that, new localizations were added.

Worshippers of Cthulhu was announced to release on both Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S too but that’s after the Early Access period on PC. As of writing, only an estimate of Q1 2025 was stated, which can be moved especially with how the early access goes. Still, it is a relief to know that there is a console version of the game.
