With a fantastic news in recent days, Capcom has decided to release a time-limited Demo for Dragon’s Dogma 2. The new chapter of the beloved action RPG offers an interesting class system, thanks also to the Pawns, and a fun gameplay with many possibilities to experiment with builds. A game that many wanted to try but were hesitant due to the demanding system requirements.
The story of a demo for Dragon’s Dogma 2 is not new, and in fact, some rumors of a demo dated well before the game’s release around late February 2024. Rumors were then silenced by the Capcom team, which instead released the Character Creator for the game. Therefore, the news of a Trial version announced officially on 27 June 2024, certainly surprised many. A certainly positive and well-received news, allowing many to finally try the new chapter of the series before deciding whether to purchase it.
The team announces that this Demo will be a Time-Limited Trial of the full game, with a limit of 2 hours, but only for a limited period:
The trial versions will now be available on the main page of the game in the respective Store. Where strangely initially the Steam version was hidden and available only through the official announcement post of the Time-Limited Version. But then it was made available directly on the store page a few hours after the announcement.
The Trial version, as already mentioned, will only be for a limited period ending on 17 July and 18, lasting roughly 20 days. Not to mention also a time limit of only 2 hours, certainly difficult to manage in an RPG game with many classes and character customization, where many will lose precious time. Also, be quite modest with the system requirements, given the optimization and performance still to be fully resolved.
