EA’s recent Q2 earnings report reveals The Sims 4 has managed to gain 15 million new users in 2024, despite initially releasing in 2014. #1: Final Fantasy 14 Online Voice Actor Receives Abuse
Let’s start by saying it should not happen. Ever. In an interview with Checkpoint Gaming, Final Fantasy 14 Online director Naoki Yoshida revealed the transphobic abuse voice actor Sena Bryer has received after playing Wuk Lamat in the MMO. So-called “Fans” of FF14 Online directed the abuse to Bryer after Wuk Lamat was introduced as a character in the recent Dawntrail expansion. Criticism of a game or character can be constructive, but as Yoshida says in his interview, personal attacks are “not constructive at all.” For those wondering – YES, play FF14 Online.
