The War of the Worlds: Siberia is an action-adventure game developed by the Russian team at 1C Game Studios. Announced unexpectedly with a teaser in August 2023, the team recently released the first trailer.

Offering an adventure game that follows a group of survivors in 1896’s Petrograd (Saint Petersburg) during a Martian invasion. A game deeply inspired by the homonymous novel by Herbert G. Wells, but with a unique and intriguing twist.

After the famous teaser in August 2023, the team at 1C Game Studios returns to talk more about The War of the Worlds: Siberia. Bringing the very first trailer of their upcoming game. An action-adventure set in the late 19th century in Petrograd, deeply inspired by Herbert George Wells’ novel The War of the Worlds.

An adventure where we follow a young student as he navigates a ravaged city, facing the dangers of alien forces and violence in the streets. Along the way, he encounters unlikely allies while searching for a way to reach Siberia—a place far from technology and possibly the last refuge.

*The War of the Worlds: Siberia* seems to be the biggest project for the 1C Game Studios team. Offering a third-person game with a strong narrative focus, blending stealth and action with period weapons. As choices within the game may lead to different endings depending on our choices.

Regarding the release date, the team hasn’t revealed anything yet. We can assume that the title is still in development, although a released date for 2025 is not impossible. It’s confirmed to arrive on PC via Steam, and we’ll see if it also launches on consoles with the upcoming news.
