Frogwares has confirmed that a remastered version of The Sinking City is in development and will be launching soon on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. While no official release date has been shared yet, the announcement alone is enough to stir excitement across the fanbase.
Powered by Unreal Engine 5, the remaster promises a much more refined and immersive return to Oakmont. Expect a visually enhanced experience with 4K textures, photo mode, and upgraded environments featuring additional levels and details. Performance-wise, the game will also support DLSS, FSR, and TSR upscaling technologies, ensuring smoother gameplay across the board.
While all these sounds good already, it does get better! Frogwares will be offering a free upgrade for existing owners, a move that’s sure to please longtime supporters.
The timing of the announcement also ties in with the ongoing Kickstarter campaign for The Sinking City 2, which is currently in its final days. Backers of the sequel can also select the Sinking City as an add-on.
