Here’s a first look at The Outlast Trials, Red Barrels’ upcoming co-op horror game from the highly popular Outlast franchise.

The Outlast Trials is currently in development, and Red Barrels has released the game’s first gameplay trailer at gamescom.
The trailer shows how players are being hunted by terrifying enemies as they fight for their survival. The game is set during the Cold War, and players are trapped inside a facility owned by Murkoff Corporation. They are test subjects, and are experiencing physical and mental ordeals which they want to escape from.
The game can be played alone, or with other players as a team.
The gameplay trailer shows footage from an earlier build of the game, so there’s a huge chance these will be changed.
The Outlast Trials does not have a release date at this time, but it will be available in 2022 on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
