One of the biggest criticisms with The Division 2 is its Specializations feature, and in the next update, Ubisoft hopes to address this by revamping them to improve PvE and PvP.
In the current system, Ubisoft believes that too much of the Specialization tree is mandatory, and they want to give the player more choice when picking perks.
The Specialization tree is now a linear progression system, where the player can pick from signature weapons, grenades, and armor kits.
Each decision can improve and increase the benefits of each skill, and Ubisoft hopes that this will result in more varied builds and unique playstyles.
Ubisoft has also ensured that you will not have enough points to unlock the entire tree, meaning your decisions will have more of an impact on the way you play.
There may be changes to the new system once the update goes live, as Ubisoft has promised to keep a close eye on builds and performance in both PvE and PvP.
The update is due to release early in 2022, and until then, you can read more in Ubisoft’s official statement changes here.
