This badge comes with a drop of an emoticon, a profile background related to the game, and 100 profile XP on Steam. XP is used to raise your profile level, unlocking a customizable showcase every 10 levels, and leveling up with a badge adds +5 friend list slots.

It’s not necessary, perhaps just for bragging rights, although a higher Steam level tends to give more credibility to a review, opinion, content, or even a user exchange, especially to be seen as someone who has invested time and money on Steam.

Returning to the Steam Winter Collectible Cards 2023, you can obtain them through the following methods:

• 1 Daily Card for Completing the Discovery Queue (on the Steam Home page), for a maximum of 14 cards (for the 14 days of the Sale).
• 1 Card for every $10 spent on the Steam Store (not Community Market).
• 1 Card by crafting badges from other games only during the Sale period.
• Trade them with friends or buy them directly from the Community Market.

Regarding the last part, Steam Trading Cards, including those from the sale, can mostly be sold on the Community Market for a variable value depending on quantity and demand. In this case, they go for about €0.07-€0.06 each, yielding around €0.50-€0.60 (after fees) in wallet funds as total —few but useful to avoid reloading money when you’re a few cents short of purchasing a game. Combined with other cards already in your inventory, you might find yourself with a small treasure!

Winter 2023 Medals will give 100 XP, an emoticon, and a background as usual. The peculiarity is that unlike regular games, which allow up to a maximum of 5 levels for the normal badge and 1 for the Foil, the sale badge will be limitless!

With nominations for the Steam Awards finally in the last phase, all Steam users are invited to nominate winners in each category through selected games during the Steam Nomination Awards. In return, you receive a cute Animated Sticker, usable in Steam chat to annoy friends or decorate your Steam profile thanks to showcases.

By voting in each category, you can receive 11 Animated Stickers. Also, by visiting the Categories section every day, you can receive another Sticker.
