In case you haven’t heard yet, Square Enix will be cranking out a survival third-person shooter set in the Front Mission universe this March. Producer Shinju Hashimoto took the Left Alive for a go recently and was kind enough to share the footage so we can get a peek at how the game plays.

There’s a lot of big names behind the game. In care you’re getting a Metal Gear Solid vibe, it’s because of Yoji Shinkawa, character designer for that game series. Takayuki Yanase, the mech designer for big names such as Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Xenoblade Chronicles X, and Ghost in the Shell: Arise, is also lending his talents. Lastly, Armored Core director Toshifumi Nabeshima also joins the development team.

Now, on to what the game looks like. Take note that the video is in Japanese, but that doesn’t take much from the gameplay preview. Here’s Hashimoto’s gameplay:

The game will feature wanzers, Front Mission’s version of mechs. However, Square Enix has already previously said that most of the game takes place on foot. There are also multiple endings that players will work their way to with different decisions. These decisions range from dialogue choices to things like whether you want to help a group of civilians or just leave them to their fate to save on ammo.

Left Alive is set to launch on March 5 for PC and PS4. Pre-purchasing will net you a Day One Edition which bundles the base game with a digital soundtrack sampler, 5 exclusive wallpapers designed by Yoji Shinkawa, and the Destructive DLC Pack. The game comes out 5 days earlier in Japan.
