What is Split Fiction and why is it special?

Mio and Zoe find themselves trapped in a simulation during a visit to Rader Publishing, where their two stories merge. They must work together to navigate alternating sci-fi and fantasy worlds. Along the way, they need to solve puzzles and defeat enemies to escape the simulation and protect their ideas from being stolen.
Each level introduces unique abilities that match the respective genres of the two authors. For example, Mio can wield an energy-based weapon in certain sections, while Zoe can use magic to overcome obstacles. In addition to the main story, there are optional “Side Stories” that appear in the form of portals. These are completely optional, but if you enjoy the game, you should definitely explore them.
