Sonic Origins Introduces Its Game Modes

Sonic Origins not only brings back the nostalgia in its remastered form, and its Speed Strats video highlighted all the games included in the collection, as well as the different game modes players can choose from.
Sonic Origins can be played in Anniversary and Classic Modes. In Classic Mode, you’ll get to play in the original 4:3 ratio with the original game rules but with remastered visuals. The Anniversary Mode, on the other hand, is played at 16:9 ratio with no time over, game over, or continue screens.
In the Anniversary Mode, you can also collect coins which you can use to retry the Special Stage as many times as possible until you collect Chaos Emeralds and Time Stones.
Sonic Origins includes a Story Mode as well, and it combines all four games into one adventure where you will play as Sonic.
The Boss Rush Mode and Mirror Mode are also added as new modes, and are here to give you a more challenging gameplay. In Boss Rush mode, you will face all the bosses in the series in an endless battle, while in Mirror Mode, you will take on the games in a flipped world.
And to get yourself a lot more Coins, the Missions mode has all the challenges you can complete. The higher the score you get, the more Coins you receive.
The video also introduced the Museum where you can place your collection of unlocked content. Unlocked items through game progression will be added in the “Normal Collection.” And if you got more Coins to spend, you can use it to unlock items in the “Premium Collection.” The Museum also has never-before-seen content from the original games’ development stages.
Sonic Origins brings you Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic CD in one collection, and it is available starting June 23, 2022 on PC (Steam and Epic Games), Playstation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch.
