Sonic Frontiers – New Sonic Game Featuring an Open World Adventure
Sonic Frontiers was revealed at The Game Awards 2021, and is under development by Sonic Team Japan.

The Game Awards 2021 indeed was one of the biggest events in the video games industry, and it not only honored the best games, creators, and more, it also presented a lot of upcoming games. Among those announced during the awards night was Sonic Team Japan’s Sonic Frontiers, an upcoming game under the Sonic the Hedgehog brand.
Although the trailer presented the TGA 2021 did not include any gameplay, the developers gave away a few details about the game. Perhaps the most interesting fact about it is that Sonic Frontiers will be featuring an open world — an “open-zone-inspired experience” according to the devs.
Not only that. It will also feature an original storyline from Ian Flynn (Sonic Boom writer).
Sonic Frontiers will be available in 2022 on major platforms: PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
