The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep is an animated movie featuring Doug Cockle as Geralt of Rivia. Based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s “A Little Sacrifice” short story, Geralt finds himself in the middle of a mystery, with two kingdoms ready to go to war if he doesn’t solve it.

Anya Chalotra and Joey Batey, who play Yennefer and Jaskier in The Witcher TV series join Cockle. Netflix’s latest trailer for the animated movie has revealed it’s available to stream from February 11.

Plot Overview

Straight from Netflix, The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep sees Geralt “hired to investigate a series of attacks in a seaside village and finds himself drawn into a centuries-old conflict between humans and merpeople.” As war threatens the Continent, the White Wolf finds himself trying to unravel a mystery to prevent a great conflict.

Directed by Kang Hei Chul, the director of 2021 animated Witcher film, Nightmare of the Wolf, the new animated movie is based on author Andrzej Sapkowski’s short story, “A little Sacrifice.” You can catch a brief overview of the upcoming film in the official trailer below.


What’s Next For The Witcher?

Netflix is continuing with the live-action The Witcher series following Henry Cavill’s departure. Filming finished in October 2024 on The Witcher Season 4, and it will air in late 2025, with Liam Hemsworth taking over as Geralt.

CD Projekt Red is focused on its new Witcher saga, featuring Ciri as the new protagonist, although Geralt will appear. That game has no release date and is not expected until 2026 at the earliest.
