What a great start of the year for Playstation Plus subscribers. Not only are the Essential free games awesome, but the Extra and Premium free games for January 2024 are just as incredible.
We’ve got some heavy hitters this month with Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands: Next-Level Edition leading the charge together with Resident Evil 2 and Hardspace: Shipbreaker.
Resident Evil 2 has already made headlines for this month in terms of gaming subscription. Just a couple of weeks ago, the very same game was announced for the Game Pass free games lineup for this month too.
It’s not very often, hardly even, that a game is added in both PS Plus and Game Pass in the same month. If memory serves me right, the last time this happened was the day-one launch of Sea of Stars on both platforms in August 2023. Before that, well quite a long time ago.
There are a total of nine games added to the Games Catalog January 2024 edition replacing the nine leaving. This update will take effect on January 16, 2024.
So while we look forward to the new games, enjoy the games about to leave which includes Devil May Cry 5, It Takes 2, and Back 4 Blood.

Very good variety of games for PS Plus subscribers. Tiny Tina’s Wonderland, Grime and Resident Evil 2 are pretty good games within their own genre. Even if platformers or shooters are not your cup of tea, strategy and management fans also have Hardspace: Shipbreaker and Surviving the Aftermath as a way to entertain themselves.
