PlayStation Plus February 2024 Joining Titles

Another great month for Playstation Plus subscribers! The three free games recently revealed are nothing short of awesome.

For a quick run down, here are the three games joining PS Plus in February 2024:

  • Foamstars (PS5, PS4)
  • Rollerdrome (PS5, PS4)
  • Steelrising (PS5)

Steelrising is a great action RPG that is sure to please fans of the genre. The game’s challenging combat, engaging story, and beautiful visuals make it a must-play for any gamer looking for a new challenge. Some critics say (even criticized) that it’s too challenging!

Then we have Rollerdrome. This game has been critically acclaimed for its innovative gameplay, stylish visuals, and intense action. It won awards and garnered positive reviews from both critics and players so it’s really a treat having it as a free game this month for PS Plus subscribers. If memory serves me right, the game was also included in Game Pass in November 2023.

Finally, we have Foamstars, a Playstation exclusive launching in the service as day-one. This fresh shooter game has already gotten praises for its originality, fast-paced action, and emphasis on teamwork. Some have mentioned that the learning curve can be a bit steep, but overall, it’s been met with enthusiasm.

These titles will be available to play for free starting February 2, 2024 until March 4, 2024.

Foamstars (PS5, PS4)

   

Foamstars is a 4v4 online party shooter game but instead of bullets, players wield blasters that shoot foam! This not only makes the game lighthearted and fun, but also adds a strategic layer, as you can use the foam to build terrain, use as shields, and trap enemies by covering the ground and slowing them down.

There are two main modes currently available: Smash the Star and Happy Bat Survival. The first one is an objective-based mode where each team fights to eliminate the designated “Star” player on the opposing team. Then the second one is a last-team-standing battle royale where you and a partner fight to be the last duo standing in a shrinking arena.

Foamstars features a cast of eight quirky and colorful characters called “Foamstars” each with their own unique personalities, foam blasters, and special abilities.

Rollerdrome (PS5, PS4)

   

Rollerdrome is a fast-paced, adrenaline-pumping action shooter which seamlessly mixes third-person shooting with fluid rollerblading movement and trick mechanics. Pulling off tricks and grinds not only looks cool but also replenishes your ammo and boosts your score.

The game takes place in a dystopian future where corporations rule and Rollerdrome serves as a brutal form of entertainment. The story unfolds through environmental clues and character interactions, adding depth to the world and its inhabitants.

Rollerdrome has been met with critical acclaim, praised for its innovative gameplay, stylish visuals, and intense action. It’s won awards like the BAFTA Games Award for British Game, and players love its high skill ceiling and satisfying loop of tricks, kills, and ammo.

Steelrising (PS5)

   

Steelrising is an action RPG that takes you on a thrilling ride through an alternate history of Paris during the French Revolution. King Louis XVI, in a desperate bid to crush the rebellion, has unleashed his army of merciless clockwork automatons upon the city.

Here, you play as Aegis, a mysterious and deadly automaton built by a brilliant engineer named Vaucanson. Thrust into the heart of the conflict, you must not only fight for your own survival but also uncover the secrets of your creation and your connection to the revolution.

Steelrising does not only offer challenging combat, but also a high level of customization and progression, and hours of exploration and side quests.
