Since then, player numbers have dwindled, but the major Feybreak update on December 23 saw numbers skyrocket, reaching an impressive 212,817 concurrent players, up from 59,180 the day before.

PocketPair’s open-world survival crafting game has been at the heart of controversy since Nintendo filed a lawsuit against Palworld for “multiple” copyright infringements. The massive jump in player count, which climbed almost 800% over the Christmas and the holiday period, has the Feybreak update to thank. The major Feybreak patch added 23 new Pals, a new island, buildings, boss fights, and new skins.
