Minecraft Dungeons World Map is huge!

Mojang has revealed the enormous map, as well as an in-game guide, for the highly-anticipated and upcoming Minecraft Dungeons.

Minecraft Dungeons is a diablo-like top-down dungeon-crawler with procedurally generated levels and offering up to 4-player co-op action with a heavy focus on monster-bashing and treasure hunting.

The game has the familiar Minecraft look and will feature enemies recognizable from the Minecraft universe, including bosses and mini-bosses.

The Minecraft Dungeons world map itself has so far seen some regions confirmed and these are Camp, Creeper Woods, Creepy Crypt, Pumpkin Pastures and Redstone Mines. It will see players discover snow regions, timberland, deserts, and a manor.

At the center of player activity will be the Camp, where players will plan their next actions. Just like Camp, Frightening Crypt is a place where players will have the option to find some key plunder and loot. Pumpkin Pastures will be in a more open setting with towns, and Redstone Mines will act as a prison.

Though the in-game guide so far offers little, we do know that every major Minecraft biome, from marshes to sanctuaries, will make their way into Minecraft Dungeons further down the line through DLC releases.

Minecraft Dungeons Map

Minecraft Dungeons is a dungeon-crawler by nature and with that in mind it sets out to challenge players to improve their skills, tactics and find better gear through exploration and defeating enemies.

The game is designed to be played with friends and as such will not feature online matchmaking. Instead, players will be able to play together from the comfort of the couch or a comfy online session.

Initially slated for an April release date, Minecraft Dungeons was delayed like so many other games due to the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic and will now release on May 26, 2020, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Nintendo Switch.
