The trailer featured Cosmo, the talking dog sheriff of Knowhere, as he puts out a call for heroes to unite and stop Kang’s plans. Despite Cosmo’s horrific Russian accent, different characters from Marvel’s vast collection are seen responding to the call throughout the trailer. You can watch the full trailer below:
It was hard not to notice how “mutantless” the trailer was. Although it has not been confirmed, characters from X-Men and Fantastic Four may not be joining the game’s roster as they are not considered part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This seems to be the trend now with recent Marvel games as Marvel vs Capcom Infinite also did not include characters from the said franchises.
Fortunately, it does seem that the game will be giving some of the more obscure Marvel characters a chance in the spotlight. Characters like Cosmo, Spider-Ham, Throg and many other not so popular characters will be joining the fight against Kang.
Lego Marvel Super Heroes will be releasing on November 14 for PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
Couldn’t stand Cosmo’s accent? Still hoping the X-Men will be joining in? Think this should be called Lego Avengers 3 instead? Let us know in the comments below.
