STREET FIGHTER 5 ARCADE EDITION | 16 January
Following a barebones release and Capcom’s well-known style of iterating their fighting games several times before giving out a full release, it was only a matter of time before Capcom announced the next version of their flagship fighter. The Arcade Edition includes the 12 additional fighters from Seasons 1 and 2, an arcade mode themed after classic Street Fighter games, a team versus mode and a few other additions. All the new content except for the 12 paid characters will come as a free update to owners of the vanilla game.
LOST SPHEAR | 23 January
Tokyo RPG Factory is set to release the spiritual successor to their first project, I Am Setsuna, to western audiences this January. Released last October in Japan, the traditional JRPG puts you in the shoes of Kanata, a young adventurer with the power of Memory. Part of the world has been lost to the “White Fog” and you and your friends carry the only hope to restore the world and keep it from completely disappearing.
