With just two weeks away from the release of Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition for PC, the Guerrilla and Nixxes teams have finally decided to unveil the minimum and recommended requirements to run Aloy’s latest adventure on your PC. An adventure previously exclusive to Sony’s console platforms.

Regarding Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition for PC

Horizon Forbidden West is the story centered around Guerrilla’s protagonist, Aloy, in an Action RPG adventure set in a post-apocalyptic future dominated by animal-like machines with a humanity regressed to a tribal system. As the remnants of our civilization are considered ancient relics of a previous era.



In Forbidden West Complete Edition, we will see Aloy continue her journey into the uncharted lands of the Forbidden West. To complete the experience, this version will also bring the Burning Shores expansion DLC, previously exclusive to PS5. Not to mention the support for Nvidia’s DLSS 3 technology as well as other upscaling methods.

Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition: System Requirements

Just ahead of the release, the team has released the much-anticipated System Requirements on the PlayStation blog, divided into four categories, quite detailed with resolution and framerate targets. The categories will require at least 16GB of RAM, 150GB of free SSD space, and at least Windows 10 64-bit (1909).

MINIMUM

  • Target: 30fps 720p
  • Processor: Intel Core i3-8100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB or AMD Radeon RX 5500XT 4GB

RECOMMENDED

  • Target: 60fps 1080p
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 5700

HIGH

  • Target: 60fps 1440p / 30fps 4K
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-9700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800

VERY HIGH

  • Target: 60 fps 4K
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-11700 or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 7900XT

The targets aren’t too high, but there’s no mention whether the target is with or without upscaling methods (FSR, XeSS, or DLSS). The team also mentions that these presets are also considering the increasingly popular handheld devices like Steam Deck, Rog Ally, Aya Neo, GPD Win, Legion Go, and many others. Knowing Nixxes, it’s highly likely that the game will run quite well on PC, hoping that even Steam Deck manages to run Aloy’s new adventure using the minimum preset.
