Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) is the fifth celebrated installment of Rockstar Games’ iconic series. An exciting and thrilling fifth main chapter that takes us to the fictional town of Los Santos. With the game released on September 17, 2013, on PS3 and Xbox 360.

GTA V: The Announcement and Release Date of the New Update for PC

With a surprise announcement on February 20, 2025, the Rockstar team shares the arrival of a big update for the PC version of GTA V. This update brings many new additions to both single-player and online experiences, previously exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The update will be available on March 4, 2025, and will bring features exclusive to the current-gen consoles. This includes graphical improvements thanks to the official introduction of Ray Tracing, as well as performance boosts with faster loading times due to improved SSD support and DirectStorage.

New Vehicles and Upgrades

  • Coil Cyclone II (Super)
  • Imponte Arbiter GT (Muscle)
  • Karin S95 (Sports)
  • Pegassi Weaponized Ignus (Super)
  • Pfister Astron Custom (SUV)

New Features and Technical Improvements

Additions of some exclusive features on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, along with some new features:

  • Ray Tracing: In addition to ambient occlusion and global illumination options, the PC version will feature ambient occlusion and global illumination
  • Upscaling and Frame Gen: Support for AMD FSR1, FSR3, and NVIDIA DLSS 3
  • Faster Loading Times: High SSD speed support and DirectStorage
  • Audio and Video Support: Dolby Atmos support and enhanced audio. Also, higher resolutions and frame rates.
