GAMESCOM 2020 HIGHLIGHTS
Last year, Europe’s big event was digital-only due to the ongoing pandemic facing all of us across the world.
It gave us all something to look forward to, particularly after the entire cancellation of E3 2020.
With details of gamescom 2021 yet to be revealed, it will be worth revisiting last year’s event to know what to expect.
GAMESCOM OPENING NIGHT
Last year’s event began with Canadian journalist and presenter Geoff Keighley opening the show, and he had some fantastic guests, including Hideo Kojima.
The show is an action-packed event with Keighley talking to industry leaders and showing off some brand-new game trailers as world premiers.
Gamescom 2020’s opening night gave us trailers for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, DOOM Eternal The Ancient Ones DLC, Dragon Age 4, Outriders, and many more.
GAMESCOM 2020 EVENT RECAP
The first all-digital gamescom event saw over 2 million simultaneous viewers from more than 180 countries.
It was a massive event that allowed hundreds of companies and partners to present their products to gamers across the entire world.
The 2020 event saw incredible moments, and the following won awards.

GAMESCOM 2021 EVENT
Players worldwide can enjoy gamescom 2021 for free, and there are more promises of world premiers and recognizable guests to guide us through the upcoming games over the coming year.
Watching this year, you will benefit from a brand-new user interface, customizable schedules, live streams, events, shows, and all the information you will need about the games.
Over the three days, there will be plenty of ways to get involved with gamescom epix.
Viewers can complete community-driven quests, collect points, claim prizes, and interact with gamescom content.
An all-digital event is not the same as attending, but there are still many reasons to get excited.

You can get stuck into Gamescom from August 23 – August 28. There will be lots to get involved in throughout the week, and the opening show is on August 25.
