Games Leaving PlayStation Plus September 2024

Update September 7 – In a rare update, Sony has added to the games leaving Playstation Plus on September 17. What used to be a list of 12 titles, is now 16 in total. Unpacking, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, and Planet Coaster were found in the Last Chance to Play section. No official statement regarding their departure was published nor the “end date” on their Playstation Store page is seen. However, considering that a similar scenario happened in March, more likely than not, these games are dropping from PS Plus library mid this month.

Original Publication – Sony has finally revealed the full list of games leaving Playstation Plus in September 2024. Of course, the 3 Essential games that were added this month will only be up for grabs until September 2, 2024. Then on top of that, the Last Chance to Play section was just updated, giving us the titles that are scheduled to leave PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers next month.

There are a total of 12 games leaving Games Catalog for September 2024 and it includes much-loved and much-played games like Horizon Forbidden West, NieR Replicant, and Alien Isolation. There’s also a bunch of Star Ocean titles which fans of the series will definitely not be happy about.

  • Marvel’s Midnight Suns (PS4, PS5)
  • Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 (PS5, PS4)
  • Planet Coaster (PS5, PS4)
  • Unpacking (PS5, PS4)
  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (PS4)
  • Alien Isolation (PS4)
  • Cloudpunk (PS5)
  • NieR Replicant (PS4)
  • Spiritfarer (PS4)
  • Star Ocean First Departure R (PS4)
  • Star Ocean The Divine Force (PS5, PS4)
  • Star Ocean Integrity and Faithlessness (PS4)
  • Star Ocean The Last Hope (PS4)
  • Star Ocean Till The End of Time (PS4)
  • 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim (PS4)
 

 

This is a bigger list compared to this month’s, even with the addition of the 5 titles that were announced on the 8th. This surprise addition makes subscribers wonder if the same thing will happen again for September which hopefully not because 12 is already a lot.

As for quick trophies, you can look at Horizon Forbidden West, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, and Spiritfarer. Depending on your schedule, you may be able to finish all of them before the 17th.

While this is of course sad news, the new titles for Playstation Plus Extra and Premium tiers have been added yesterday so that’s some good news especially with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cult of the Lamb included in it.
