UPDATE– Wave 2 for Game Pass January 2024 has been revealed. Only one game will be leaving the service on January 31, 2024. Although that sounds great in the beginning, it is actually a major title and basically includes more than one. Hitman World of Assassinations is a rebrand of Hitman 3 and also includes the best of Hitman and Hitman 2.

After weeks of news “blackout” on Game Pass over the holidays, the games leaving Game Pass January 2024 have now been announced. And, the prediction of the one-year contracts of 2 Persona titles came true as both are included in the lineup. What no one saw coming is GTA5 as that was added just six months ago.

The first batch of titles will depart from the service on January 15, 2024 with the second batch expected to be revealed in a couple of weeks.

The five titles included in the list are the following:

• Garden Story (PC, Console)
• MotoGP 22 (PC, Console)
• Persona 3 Portable (PC, Console)
• Persona 4 Golden (PC, Console)
• Grand Theft Auto V (Console) – January 5
• Hitman: World of Assassination (PC, Console, Cloud)
