Forza Horizon 4 Is Getting Delisted and Taken Out of Game Pass

Forza Horizon 4 Delisting Details

In a series of delistings and servers shutting down this year, Forza Horizon 4 has found itself among the list. Announced late last month, the impending delisting will officially happen on December 15, 2024 for the base game. By then, its Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate editions will no longer be available to purchase digitally.

In preparation for it, all paid DLCs were actually already delisted since June 25. Here is the full list:

As for the free DLCs, they were reinstated so you can still download the Mitsubishi Car pack, the 1967 Sunbeam Tiger, and the 1979 Talbot Sunbeam.

The decision for delisting was ultimately due to “agreements with licensing and other partnerships ending.” Note though that physical copies of the game can still be bought in retailers and will be fully functional.

Although the digital presence of the game will be removed from storefronts, all its features whether offline or online including multiplayer, can still be enjoyed even after the date of delisting. So yes, no servers will shut down for Forza Horizon 4.



What happens to Forza Horizon 4 on Game Pass?

Following the delisting of the game, Forza Horizon 4 will also cease to exist in the Game Pass catalog on December 15. Since this access to the base game is through a subscription, members who have purchased DLCs in the past will receive a free game token for Forza Horizon 4 Standard Edition.

These tokens started to roll out on June 25 and are sent through Xbox Message Center. It could take a while before all tokens are distributed so don’t worry if you haven’t received yours yet. To be eligible for this free game token, you must have a fully paid Game Pass subscription by June 25. Meaning, not a discounted purchase.

Also, the DLCs pertaining to this offer must have been bought from Microsoft. So if you bought yours from Steam or online key resellers, you will not receive the game token. Like the subscription itself, the DLC must have been purchased at full price and not discounted or bought during a sale. Needless to say, free DLCs are not included.

Unused tokens by June 25, 2026 will expire.
