February 2018 PC Game Releases
2018 started off strong for PC gaming and it doesn’t seem like it’s slowing down anytime soon. February has some big releases inbound and we’ve got the best ones listed here for your convenience. Here’s what you can look forward to in the coming days.
CIVILIZATION 6 RISE AND FALL
8 February
Civilization 6 wasn’t the best entry in the series, and even long-time fans had mixed reactions at launch. Rise and Fall however does seem like it’s out to restore faith to the franchise. The game’s first expansion will not only be bringing new civilizations and leaders, there’s also a myriad of new systems being added that will make it all feel like you’re playing a totally different game.
DYNASTY WARRIORS 9
13 February
The ‘one vs. thousands’ hack-n-slash goes open world in its latest iteration. You’ll get to explore the expansive land of China as a single map, featuring different regions, biomes and climates. The game also features a 10-chapter story that begins with the Yellow Turban Rebellion. Players are given the freedom to choose the pace at which they complete each chapter, whether it’s by completing every mission or going straight for the final objective.
KINGDOM COME DELIVERANCE
13 February
It’s rare for a medieval RPG to bank on realism as its main selling point, but that’s exactly what Kingdom Come Deliverance does. Here, you won’t be a king, a knight or any kind of hero. Instead, you’ll start off as a lowly blacksmith’s son. That’s not to say the game is free of cliches as recent events propel you on a quest for revenge. You won’t find any dragons or magic here, just purely rewarding, tactical swordplay.
MONSTER ENERGY SUPERCROSS THE OFFICIAL GAME
13 February
It’s rare to find a game that can simulate the intensity and complexity of racing motorcycles. Monster Energy Supercross, however, offers a highly immersive and realistic experience of the most competitive off-road motorcycle racing championship in the world. You’ll find accurate reproductions of bikes, tracks, stadiums and accessories, plus you’ll have access to an array of customization options and a track editor.
SECRET OF MANA
15 February
Take up the Mana Sword once more and go on a quest to restore balance to the world, this time in a fully remastered 3D world. Join Randi, Promm and Popoi as they befreind the 8 elementals to revive the magical power of Mana. With upgraded gameplay befitting of a modern action RPG, fans of the original and newcomers alike will find revisiting this colorful and vivid world a welcome treat.
FE
16 February
The creatures of the forest are under attack by mysterious entities called the Silent Ones. It’s up to Fe, a fox-like creature, to harness the powers of the creatures of the forest in order to stop the Silent Ones. You won’t find any hand-holding here. Instead, this action adventure title forces you to explore and experiment with different interactions to achieve certain results, always keeping in mind that everything is connected.
METAL GEAR SURVIVE
22 February
The first Kojima-less Metal Gear is a spin-off of The Phantom Pain, combining the game’s intense action and stealth gameplay with tactical base defense and survival. As Mother Base falls from XOF’s surprise attack, an intense light appears from the sky and begins to suck everything into it, transporting them into a parallel world. There, a strange infection is causing life forms to transform into grotesque creatures called Wanderers.
