Farming Simulator 25, the latest installment in the beloved series, brings new crops, advanced machinery, and more dynamic weather conditions. It promised upgraded graphics and an expanded multiplayer mode which excited fans of the franchise, of course.

While everything seemed to be in place, launch day surprised many but not in a good way.

Farming Simulator has made its way to become a (gaming) household name since its launch in 2008. FM20, the first installment of the franchise, took the scene by storm as it successfully placed its mark and set off a chain of Farming Simulator games that encompass different platforms. And that is why when Farming Simulator 25 was announced, fans of the franchise eagerly waited for crop season to start.

Although the launch went mostly smooth, it is without any issues like most releases do. The issue in particular is for console players who just found out that the game runs on 30fps only. Many gamers were appalled especially because this wasn’t made known and considering that FM22 already ran at 60fps, it didn’t make sense that FM25 didn’t. Many disappointed gamers took on different forums and social media platforms to air their dismay. Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done as of now. There isn’t even an option to choose between quality or performance.





To make matters worse, it’s not the only issue on launch day. As reported by many PS5 players, there are graphic bugs/patches on the screen. Plus no DLCs can be installed since none would download in store.





It does sound like a mess, to which Giants Software has yet to officially address. All that was said (in a Reddit post recently), was due to the PS5 Pro enhancement of the game, the console version is indeed locked to 30fps.

Is Farming Simulator 25 on Xbox Game Pass?

While Farming Simulator 22 is part of the Game Pass library, Farming Simulator 25 is not. At least not on launch day. But considering that FM22 is, there’s a big chance that FM25 will be in the future.

For better news, if you like sim games, you will love this month. There are 2 big simulation games that are part of Xbox Game Pass for November. One is Goat Simulator Remastered which entered the service on launch, November 7, and the other is Microsoft Flight Simulator also on launch, November 19.
