Fallout 4 Mod Project Mojave is now officially cancelled. The early access release is the final version for this mod.

Fallout 4 Project Mojave

The Fallout 4 modding community has long been a vibrant hub of creativity, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in Bethesda’s expansive RPG. One of the most ambitious projects, Project Mojave, initially announced in 2021, aimed to bring key areas of Fallout: New Vegas into Fallout 4. Unfortunately, the development team behind this ambitious DLC-sized mod has officially cancelled the project.

However, there’s still hope for fans as the final Early Access version of the mod has been released, alongside other high-quality mods worth exploring.

Fallout 4 Project Mojave Cancelled

Project Mojave was a promising total conversion mod designed to recreate beloved locations from Fallout: New Vegas. The scope of the project was massive, requiring extensive hours of work from the modding team. As with many large-scale mods, the sheer magnitude of the task proved overwhelming, and the team decided to cease development.

Despite its cancellation, players can still experience Project Mojave through its Early Access version, which is the final release for the mod. The Version 2.5 is now released and marks the culmination of the project adding four new worldspaces (Fremont, Westside, St. Mary’s Medical, and Vegas Industrial), along with new NPCs, dungeons, assets, and original soundtrack tracks.. While the project’s cancellation is disappointing, this finalised version offers a glimpse into what the team achieved.

Other Fallout 4 Mods

For those looking to further enhance their Fallout 4 experience, the modding community has no shortage of incredible alternatives. Players booking for performance and visual improvements can explore mods like the LOD mod to reduce pop-ins, the Disk Cache Enabler for smoother gameplay, or high-definition texture packs including an 8K Texture Pack and a 41GB 4K optimised pack.

And for those craving new adventures though, there are fan-made DLC-sized mods that offer hours of fresh content. Standout projects include Fallout: Miami, a new post-apocalyptic setting with unique quests, and America Rising 2 which integrates the Enclave faction into the game with a 24-mission storyline.

Other noteworthy expansions include Caves of the Commonwealth, Fallout: London, Sim Settlements 2 Chapter 3, and Whispering Hills, a horror-themed mod inspired by Silent Hill. There are also other horror quest mods inspired by Lovecraft, Resident Evil, and Dead Space.
