Explore the Dustborn Demo on Steam: A Graphic Novel Adventure

The release date for Red Thread Games’ new graphic adventure is approaching slowly, and with confirmation during the recent Steam Next Fest back in June, the team has decided not only to host two livestreams featuring the voices behind some of the game’s characters but also to release a demo for the game.

Dustborn – Demo still available on Steam

In a Steam post announcing the presence of the Norwegian team from Red Thread Games at the June 2024 Steam Next Fest with content dedicated to Dustborn, including a demo. Originally scheduled to be available from 10th to 17th June, it seems the team has decided to extend the demo period. This allows those who couldn’t try the team’s new graphic adventure in time or who found out about it later to get their hands on the game.

The Norwegian team certainly surprised with their choice of this new adventure, which features a more colorful style compared to their previous games, including Dreamfall Chapters, the beloved conclusion of the Dreamfall series.

What is Dustborn and when will it be released?

Dustborn is the new graphic adventure from Red Thread Games, an indie studio founded in 2012 by Norwegian author and designer Ragnar Tørnquist, known for the beloved Dreamfall series as well as other modern adventures such as Broken Sword and Syberia. What the team offers is a decidedly modern adventure with a storyline set in a Divided States of America. That is, in a post-apocalyptic USA divided, where an unlikely group of musicians are in the midst of a tour guided by a robot, after stealing an important package and being chased by Justice.

Offering a game that combines a diverse cast, including robots, and the power of the words and bonds we’ll establish during our tour, with a good dose of action and many iconic locations to explore. All to reach your final destination, outside the entire continent of the Divided States of America. With a release date set for 20th August 2024, there’s still a bit of time to wait, but if you’re interested, you can try the demo, but hurry before it’s removed!
