Enshrouded 2024 Roadmap Revealed: Exciting New Content & Features Coming Soon

The team at Keen Games GmbH has finally released the roadmap for Enshrouded. The team’s new project was released in Early Access in January.

An Action RPG that combines a Survival soul, rewarding exploration of a realm plagued by a mysterious mist. The game holds great potential with the ability to play co-op with up to 16 players simultaneously. Enshrouded is available as an Early Access title from 24 January 2024, on PC, and will arrive on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 by the end of the year.

Enshrouded: The Roadmap and Upcoming Content

In a post on March 13 on the official blog, the Keen Games team has finally released the roadmap for Enshrouded for 2024. Although without specific dates for each update, the team has instead decided to release a list that includes 36 features based on community recommendations and feedback. In addition, there are 6 major updates planned by the team to further expand the experience.

Enshrouded Official Roadmap 2024, upcoming features

These 6 major updates include:

  • Visiting and sharing bases
  • Shared dungeons
  • Sharing and creating gameplay experiences
  • New Biomes
  • In-game world events
  • Introduction of water

Among the community-requested features accepted are: more NPCs and animals, new enemies and bosses, new materials, a more intuitive UI, item stacking, game performance optimization, and even support for Valve’s Steam Deck.

What is Enshrouded

Enshrouded is the new project from Keen Games launched as an Early Access title just two months ago on PC. The team draws inspiration from their previous game, Portal Knights, which despite its colorful and more carefree style, shares many elements with Enshrouded as an Action RPG in an open world with Survival elements.

With a darker and typical fantasy atmosphere, Enshrouded sees us as Flameborn, among the last survivors and the last hope of an ancient race. Tasked with reclaiming the lost kingdom of Embervale and reclaiming your heritage, eradicating the mysterious plague that your ancestors released throughout the world. We’ll need to prepare ourselves well before exploring the kingdom, as fierce enemies and numerous dangers await us.

In short, the Keen Studio team seems to be quite satisfied with the positive impact their new game has had on Steam, with well over 2 Million copies sold. And is now ready to bring whatever updates are necessary to officially launch Enshrouded by the end of the year.
