Dive into Early Access of Die in the Dungeon – A Unique Roguelike Deck-Building Experience with Dice!

Die in the Dungeon is a game series from the small studio ATICO, in collaboration with HypeTrain Digital and INSTINCT3. A colorful and engaging roguelike where we’ll explore a dungeon. The game features deck-building mechanics, but with dice instead of cards. Each die will represent a different action we can take.

We can collect new dice and upgrade those we already have, allowing for creative combinations to push further into this mysterious Dungeon. Initially released on Itch.io with some revisions, the final game is now ready to hit Steam.


Die in the Dungeon: Release Date

After over 2 years of waiting, the ATICO team is finally ready to launch their Die in the Dungeon on Steam. Following the official announcement on January 16, 2025, the team is reminding us again of the release date today, February 21, 2025, with the following times:

  • February 21, 2025, 5:00 PM CET / 4:00 PM UTC / 8:00 AM PST / 11:00 AM EST

An Early Access launch for Die in the Dungeon, which will also offer a Supporter Pack that includes cosmetic items: New Cinder Skin: Dice Knight, the Baby Flyfant pet, and the OST created by Fat Bard.



Die in the Dungeon Early Access: Gameplay and Main Features

Die in the Dungeon is a roguelike deckbuilder. The twist? We use dice instead of classic cards. We collect more dice, each with different abilities that we can upgrade or combine with others. The Early Access version offers:

  • Game Areas: 3 Areas full of enemies and 5 Unique Bosses to defeat
  • Playable Characters: 3 characters, each with their own board and exclusive dice
  • Relics: 100 to collect and experiment with
  • Dice: 31 Different types of dice with 14 properties to combine
  • Difficulty and Achievements: 4 Difficulty Levels, accompanied by 40 Achievements
  • Languages: Localized in 11 languages

With many new additions coming soon, thanks to feedback from the various versions of Die in the Dungeon, including the Prologue, Origins, and the most recent demos.


Die in the Dungeon – Development, Roadmap, and Latest News

ATICO was founded by the two Spanish brothers Farfan. After participating in various game jams, they saw Die in the Dungeon as their first big project with several collaborations. Initially launched on Itch.io in 2021, the game received strong community support. The Steam announcement came on November 23, 2022, with multiple builds and demos over the years.

With the release date announcement, we also have the game’s Roadmap, which includes some features that the team is planning to implement, shared on the Official Page, among which we have:
