Dynasty Warriors: Origins (DWO) is the new chapter of the famous large-scale combat (Musou) series by Omega Force and Koei Tecmo. This chapter serves as a new reboot for the series, offering a game that’s closer to the classics but still introducing new features.
As always set during the Three Kingdoms period, we play as a young martial artist caught in the midst of the conflict. You can ally with in-game factions and decide the fate, partners, and enemies you’ll face. A reboot well received by fans, as well as by newcomers to the series.

Especially considering the title was released just a month ago, on January 17, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. With the additional news that the demo has reached over 2 million downloads.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins – Successes Compared and Latest Updates
A fantastic achievement for the series, especially for Origins. The sales are rapidly approaching the level of previous chapters within just a month. With sales and interest continuing to rise, Origins will likely become one of the most profitable titles in the series.
Meanwhile, the team is working on some small fixes to improve the gaming experience. Such as patch 1.0.0.4 (Steam) on February 6th, which made it impossible to recruit Liu Bei as a companion. As well as fixes for crashes and some minor bugs. Also, the free DLC ICHIRAN Noodles on February 7th, which allows you to restore half of your health during battles.
