Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred
Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred is the latest DLC for Diablo 4. This DLC is scheduled to be released on October 8 and brings a lot of new content. In addition to a new class, you’ll also get a whole new region and new missions, but we’ll get to that shortly. Just a few days ago, a new trailer for this DLC was released in line with Gamescom, which you can watch above. The trailer starts with a cinematic, but later also shows some gameplay.
In the new DLC, you’ll explore the new region, the jungles of Nahantu. This location continues the story from the main game and offers plenty of new side missions. The DLC also introduces a brand new playable class, the Spiritborn. This class is completely new and has never appeared in any Diablo game before.
Another new feature is the introduction of mercenaries, which have appeared in some previous games. There will be various mercenaries with different skills that you can unlock and hire in this new expansion. In total, there will be four different mercenaries with diverse skill trees, allowing you to tailor your mercenary to your needs.
You can even start unlocking your companions now by logging in and completing the companion quests. These companions will collect gold for you and assist you in battles. Additionally, you’ll receive the snow leopard Alkor if you pre-order the DLC.
What’s New?
In addition to everything mentioned above, the new DLC also includes a new co-op dungeon called the “Dark Citadel.” This is an endgame dungeon that you can conquer with a group of 2-4 players. In addition to powerful enemies, there are also some puzzle elements that you’ll need to solve.
There will also be a group finder, allowing you to always find a group for endgame activities like nightmare dungeons or bosses, even if you’re playing solo.
A new Scroll of Retempering is also being introduced, which allows you to reset hardened items. You’ll receive this scroll as a reward in the Dark Citadel. Additionally, each class’s Paragon board will receive a new glyph and nodes.
Cost of Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred
Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred is not a free DLC and is, unfortunately, quite expensive. The Standard Edition costs €39.99, the Deluxe Edition is €59.99, and the Ultimate Edition is €89.99. However, with the Ultimate Edition, you not only get to play the game a few days earlier but also receive other bonuses. If these prices are too steep for you, be sure to check out AllKeyShop.
