Redditor Trevormine posted a series of screenshots taken from the Call of Duty WW2 beta client, one of which showed a map select screen with a total of 10 maps.

Trevormine stumbled upon the secret menu by sheer luck. He was exiting a match when the beta client bugged and attempted to load a new map. That’s when he got access to the map select menu that listed the 10 maps.
At the time of writing, only 5 maps have been confimed – Pointe du Hoc, Ardennes, Gibralter, Aachen and Flak Tower. The screenshot had 5 additional maps that seemed listed by their filenames – Battleship, Cannon Farm, Carentan, France Village and London.
Although the screenshot does give players hope for variety, all of this has not been officially confirmed. The whole story might even be just a hoax. Regardless, commenters on Trevormine’s post are upset at the fact that even with 10 maps, it’ll be the least of any COD game at launch. We’ll need to wait some more until Sledgehammer reveals further details.
The Call of Duty WW2 open beta for PC will run until 2 October. If you are yet to join in on the action, you can find more details in this previous feature.
Call of Duty WW2 is slated for a 3 November release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
Do you think Trevormine’s story is real? Is 10 maps enough for you at launch? Which of the 5 extra maps do you wish were really in development? Let’s chat down in the comments.
