Tekken returns with an even more complete experience. The starting roster is not shy, with 32 protagonists, most of whom will be featured in the increasingly sophisticated single-player mode characteristic of recent fighting games. Arenas will be destructible, and battles will be more meticulous in terms of the super-powered blows and bonuses that can be triggered to gain the upper hand. A number of new modes have also been introduced.
Tekken 8 promises to be a great step forward for the franchise, with redesigned fighters, vivid and destructible scenarios and intense battles. The new battle system, Heat, maintains the feel of previous games but pump up the aggressiveness of battles. There will be a story mode, online and local PvP and also another single-player mode called Arcade Quest where you can create and customize your own avatar.
Coming in late January is none other than Tekken 8, the eighth installment of Namco’s series that landed on PS1 in 1995 and remained on Sony consoles until the 7th installment finally released on PC to great success.
