I have played and beaten Remnant 2 and I can tell it is an awesome coop experience with friends, the synergy of the different builds and loot combinations is just perfect. But you can also play this cool 3rd person shooter alone. The detail it has is that everything is random, the dungeons/locations you get and the loot you’ll find, your game is completely different to your friend’s, encouraging playing the game several times to get all the shinnies and on all friends game. I recommend it.
Remnant II is a third-person shooter that’s best experienced in coop. There’s a campaign to complete with different areas, each with unique enemies and bosses to defeat. Choosing the right combination of weapons and gear is very important in order to create good synergies and make the fights more accessible. Players who experienced the predecessor will feel right at home within the randomized worlds and boss encounters which reward replayability to find new secret areas or items.
I’m absolutely hyped for the upcoming release of Remnant 2! As a fan of the original game, I can’t wait to jump back into the dark and atmospheric world that the developers have created. Remnant: From the Ashes offered a unique blend of intense third-person combat, challenging boss battles, and a dynamic co-op experience, and I have high expectations for its sequel.
One of the aspects that made the original Remnant stand out was its captivating lore and world-building. The mysterious post-apocalyptic setting, filled with otherworldly creatures and hidden secrets, kept me hooked throughout the game. I’m eager to see how Remnant 2 expands upon this rich lore, introducing new environments, factions, and storylines that will further immerse players in its intriguing universe.
4 years on, Remnant is back with its 2nd opus. For those unfamiliar with Remnant From the Ashes, it’s a PvE multiplayer TPS, where you traverse procedurally-generated dungeons (great replayability) and take on relatively tough monsters. So much so that we consider the game to be soulslike, perhaps the best in PvE multiplayer. Of course, you can upgrade your arsenal and change (with difficulty) your specialization, i.e. your archetype. There were 3 in Remnant From the Ashes, and there will be more in Remnant 2, including the dog handler, the hunter and the challenger (sniper and tank respectively).
The technical level seems to be up to scratch, the game won’t be dragged down by the old console generation, and the art direction is still top-notch. Communication will be important, given the waves of enemies that sometimes appear all over the place, even during boss battles, which can sometimes make the boss a little less important, by highlighting him or her less. In any case, initial feedback is excellent, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
