Prince of Persia The Lost Crown is the long awaited return of one of the great classic and iconic name in the gaming scene. After over a decade of absence, Prince of Persia return to the sidescrolling and platforming formual, albeit with a different take making use of the much more streamline Metroidvania. With a brand new experience, and a rather solid game at that but one that despite offering a rather decent 60fps experience is not there yet, and fails to actually impress
Prince of Persia The Lost Crown is a 2.5D metroidvania with combat and platforming sequences, the switch version is pretty well made so you’ll be able to get the full experience on the portable console. Be quick on your reflexes to defeat your enemies and overcome challenging traversal sections. This game rewards exploration and there’s plenty of secrets to find on the map.
I’m usually not so much into platformers, but Prince of Persia The Lost Crown has attracted my attention. With interesting settings, well-thought design and metroidvania gameplay, this title is one of the most intriguing Ubisoft’s projects this year.
Prince of Persia returns in the form of a game combining platforming and, above all, what appears to be a pure metroidvania. It’s a genre that’s made a comeback in recent years, even if we wouldn’t have minded an opus inspired by the PS2 games. Confrontations are relatively fast-paced, with new moves and skills to unlock as you progress. As for the platforming phases, they seem relatively demanding.
Prince of Persia is back and he is in all platforms with Prince of Persia The Lost Crown. This is the version of the upcoming sequel to the famous 2D platformer for Nintendo’s portable. And this is a perfect game to play on the go, just complete levels jumping with smooth movements and unlocking new gadgets and weapons to help help Sargon free the Prince while enjoying the beautiful backgrounds this game has. I love the looks of this new version.
