This game is pretty good in terms of gameplay, but the poor graphics and excessive performance problems ruins the fun. Pokémon Scarlet offers a new captivating open-world experience where you can explore at your own pace and encounter new Pokémon. Set in a Mediterranean Spain-inspired region, the game allows for non-linear exploration and an immersive adventure. The three partner Pokémon choices, Sprigatito, Uecoco, and Quaxly, offer diverse options to begin your journey. Multiplayer gameplay adds another layer of excitement, enabling trading, battling, and exploration with up to four players. Pokémon Scarlet promises an engaging experience for both new and seasoned trainers.
Pokemon Scarlet is an adventure game and the first with an open world in the series. Like in other Pokemon titles, you start as a new trainer, capture and evolve the little creatures and try to climb the ranks by defeating other trainers to reach the top. The game has some great features like a better than usual narrative, coop mode and new Pokemon but unfortunately the performance issues can ruin the experience a bit. Players can expect more content with future DLCs to come.
Pokèmon Scarlet, along with the counterpart Violet, is the very first title on the 9th Gen series. The Pokèmon series has come a long way since it’s very first title in 1996 (1998 in the west) with Red and Green (Blue in the west).
While the core element remained, which is starting as a new trainer in a world filled with monsters named Pokèmon, and by challenging the 8 Gym Leaders receiving access to challenge the Elite 4 and becoming the champion, the very best. It is undeniable that the series has changed somewhat with each generation, with not just game mechanics like the introduction of Abilities (Gen 3), further expanded with Hidden Abilities (Dream abilities in Gen 5), possibility to Mega Evolve (Gen 6), Dynamax (Gen 8) etc., but also visually and at times even the story offering a more mature tone in some generations.
Pokemon Scarlet is an exciting addition to the Pokemon franchise. The game offers a fresh and immersive world to explore, filled with new Pokemon species and captivating landscapes. The visuals are vibrant, and the gameplay is as addictive as ever. With its engaging storyline and a wide range of challenges, Pokemon Scarlet is a must-play for fans looking to embark on a thrilling Pokemon adventure.
