About this game

The Kaito Files is a DLC expansion for the action beat em up RPG Lost Judgement developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, play as the muscle of the Yagami Detective Agency Masaharu Kaito takes on new cases to tie up loose ends. Following the events of the base game Kaito starts a lucrative case while Yagami is out of town looking for his old flame Mikiko. Along the way, Kaito meets a teenager claiming to be their son team up together and solve the mystery of her disappearance.

• At the crossroads of the past and present you are up against a syndicate tied to Kamurocho’s criminal underbelly. Discover the reason why Kaito and Mikiko split up and what this dark brotherhood has to do with her.
• Challenge a plethora of new bosses with Kaito’s unique combat style, then scour Kamurocho for new collectibles, in this larger-than-life drama expansion spanning four chapters.

Lost Judgment The Kaito Files is a fantastic solo outing for Yagami’s sidekick, granting players a greater degree of endearing Kaito introspection alongside a mystery drama with thrilling action. While what’s offered here will likely not blow you away, this experience is one of substance and a reason to return to this series. The short runtime and high pricing may turn some away, but Kaito fans everywhere will leave satisfied when the credits roll.

Lost Judgment was a superlative experience, and The Kaito Files DLC proves that Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s future is in good hands. While this DLC should’ve been cheaper on its own, combined with the other content in the Season Pass, it is well worth grabbing for any fan of Judgment and its characters. I hope we don’t have to wait too long for another Judgment game and would love to see a full game with Kaito as the lead.
