• From the Sixth Battle of the Isonzo to the Strafexpedition, take part in historical offensives.
• Call in reinforcements with a one-of-a-kind historically accurate flare system: flare guns can mark targets for artillery or biplane flybys, or different colored flares can be used to direct your team.
• Choose from six classes based on historical combat roles, then build your loadout from a variety of weapons, equipment, and perks associated with that class, providing flexibility and variety while remaining grounded in what real soldiers might have carried.
• Being an effective soldier in Isonzo requires more than just being a good marksman. Understanding the terrain is also important because the mountain can be a friend or a foe.

While Isonzo may not have the polish and same experience of a top shelf AAA shooter, it’s quite clear to see that it’s a labor of love and passion from a smaller team that aims to bring a historically accurate representation of WWI combat that should appeal to its specific niche audience.

Isonzo commits to the WW1-era faithfully, with the pro’s and con’s that come with dealing with that time periods battles. I enjoyed the slower pace and more methodical approach to combat and objective capturing, and hope to see it continue to build a community of players willing to invest the time into the long battles.
