Cuphead was developed by 2 Canadians. Entirely hand-drawn, the game offers a singular experience that takes us into a 1930s cartoon where we can play as 2 cups (and therefore play in co-op). Painted in watercolor. The vintage style is incredible. And the difficulty is part of the game: boss culture is present, and the platforming is not at all obvious, so you’ve been warned. A must-have.
Cuphead is an action platformer with 2D hand-drawn visuals inspired by cartoons of the 1930s. You play as Cuphead, if you play coop Mugman is also an option, and take on intense and difficult stages heavily focused in boss battles. Controls are very good and precise and reward good reaction time from players. It’s really an unique game considering the titles released within the latest years.
Cuphead is an amazing game developed and published by indie team Studio MDHR Entertainment Inc. It’s a throwback not only to the early era of animated show of the late ’30, but also a throwback to the old platforming and “fighting” games divided into various levels just like early NES titles.
In this beautifully hand drawn game we’ll take the role of the two brothers, Cuphead and Mugman, trying to reclaim their freedom from the Devil by defeating bosses scattered throughout the map!
