About this game

Black Book is a card-based adventure RPG steeped in Slavic folklore, about a girl named Vasilisa on her destined journey to become a witch, prompted by the death of her betrothed husband under mysterious circumstances, now she seeks the titular Black Book a demonic artifact said to be powerful enough to a granted wish to anyone who can break all of its seven seals. Join her on this journey as she explores the rural Russian countryside, solving the problems of the common folk by confronting and exorcising demons.

Black Book’s all over the map in terms of genre, and it’s made no effort to simplify itstranslation for non-Russian audiences. I’d be happy to recommend it to anyone with a card-game addiction, it’s got a few things going for it as far as being an RPG, and if you’re interested in learning about Russian mythology, it’s practically an educational tool.
