Battlefield 2042 Portal – Battlefield 6 Open Beta Date Revealed
EA and DICE have recently announced the new game mode in Battlefield 2042 and revealed the date of the open beta.

WHAT IS BATTLEFIELD PORTAL?
The hype for Battlefield 6 is growing, and now Ripple Effect, formerly DICE LA, has released a trailer for Battlefield Portal.
Battlefield Portal is a sandbox game mode where you set the rules with a powerful in-game editor that allows you to tweak and adjust user settings and content from previously released Battlefield games.
It means that you can take modern-day assault rifles, vehicles, and soldiers from Battlefield 2042 and throw them into a battle on a Battlefield 1942 map.
You can set up a knife vs. defibrillator match or fight World War 2 Spitfires against modern-day fighter jets, with the balancing of weapons and vehicles set by you.
Battlefield Portal is a community-driven game mode where anything is possible, and there is always something to discover.
The classic maps announced for Battlefield Portal so far are:
- Arica Harbor
- El Alamein
- Battle of the Bulge
- Valparaiso
- Caspian Border
- Noshahr Canals
All of the classic maps are built from the ground up using the latest version of the Frostbite engine so that each features stunning visuals and destructive mechanics.
There is also shared progression between Battlefield 2042 and Battlefield Portal, meaning you will earn experience towards your rank and battle pass regardless of what game mode you play.
WHEN IS THE BATTLEFIELD 2042 OPEN BETA?
The Battlefield 6 open beta begins on September 6, 2021, with those who pre-order the game able to access it on September 4. It is available to pre-load on September 3 and will end on September 11.
The game launches for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC on October 22, 2021.
