Elden Ring, the upcoming action RPG from legendary developers of Dark Souls, FromSoftware, is launching on February 25, 2022, and they have just released a new gameplay video captured on the PlayStation 5.

The new 29-minute video of Elden Ring gameplay may look familiar to you, particularly if you have played any of the Dark Souls games because it looks and plays like one on the surface.
Many of the features are still there, including crafting, magic casting, bonfires, dungeons, health flasks, enemy invasions, and huge bosses.
One notable difference between Elden Ring and the Dark Souls series is that you can encounter enemy bosses while traveling in the open world, and you can ride and fight on horseback.
Be warned, though, that just like other FromSoftware games, Elden Ring does not hold your hand, and exploring the world should be done carefully as one wrong turn can lead to immediate death.
The gameplay footage, showcased on the PS5, also looks like a Souls game, and it could easily be mistaken for a sequel.

Elden Ring is co-written by Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin and tells the story of the Tarnished, who, after being banished, now rise to defeat the demigods that claimed the six pieces of the shattered Elden Ring.
Now corrupted from the Elden Ring’s power, the demigods must be defeated so that the Elden Ring can be made whole and The Lands Between can be united once more under one king.
Elden Ring releases on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, PS4, PS5, and PC on February 25, 2022.
