FromSoftware has revealed Ironeye, a new playable character for the upcoming Elden Ring Nightreign. The new roguelike spin-off from 2022’s Game of the Year, Elden Ring, launches for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation on May 30, 2025.
Elden Ring Nightreign is an upcoming roguelike spin-off of Elden Ring, and developer FromSoftware has officially unveiled a brand-new playable character. Ironeye will be the latest playable Nightfarer when the Nightreign launches on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation on May 30, 2025.
The standalone adventure is designed for 1-3 players and will feature eight playable characters, with each class offering a unique way to play.

Who Is the New Playable Character?
FromSoftware has revealed Ironeye, the new Nightfarer, in a teaser trailer. Although the developer doesn’t reveal any exact details, we can see from the video that the character can use a bow. Attacks include a backstab and a charged attack to deliver massive amounts of damage in a cone area.
With players joining up in groups of three, Ironeye looks like a good addition to any party, utilizing ranged attacks and supporting the group from high vantage points.
What Nightreign Might Add to the Elden Ring Universe
Elden Ring Nightreign is a standalone adventure designed to give players another way to experience the iconic Elden Ring universe. While players have previously faced challenges and overwhelming odds alone, Nightreign brings players together where they will learn to unite and form powerful synergies or fall in battle.
With eight pre-made classes for players to choose from, Nightreign will challenge players to work together while overcoming a “relentless environmental threat” that sweeps across the land, bringing a new boss every night.
Release Date
Ironeye is the latest character revealed, bringing the total so far to five after the Duchess, Guardian, Recluse, and Wylder. By the time Nightreign releases on May 30, 2025, FromSoftware will reveal three more playable characters.
